Kunming: The Spring City

My adventure began in Kunming, Yunnan's capital, often called the "City of Eternal Spring" due to its mild climate year-round. As I strolled through the Green Lake Park, the air was cool, and the lotus flowers in full bloom created a serene atmosphere. Locals practiced tai chi, and musicians played traditional instruments, creating a peaceful backdrop.

Kunming also boasts one of Yunnan’s most famous landmarks: the Stone Forest. Located about 90 kilometers outside the city, this UNESCO World Heritage site features towering limestone formations that seem to rise dramatically from the ground like ancient stone trees.
