Jiayuguan Ancient Great Wall is located 5 kilometers west of Jiayuguan City. It was built in 1372 during the fifth year of Hongwu of the Ming Dynasty. It is the westernmost pass of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty, and outside the pass is the endless Gobi desert.

In the morning, we first visit the gate of Jiayuguan and enage in the profound history and cultural beauty. In the afternoon, we went to the hanging Wall of the Great Wall. The overhanging Great Wall, located 15 kilometers northwest of Jiayuguan City, gets its name because the wall falls steeply from the mountain and is built on the mountain, and the wall seems to hang on the wall. The first pier, also known as Tuolaihe Pier, is the southernmost pier of the West Great Wall of Jiayuguan and also the westernmost pier of the Great Wall in the Ming Dynasty. Standing here, you could overlook the vast desert and feel the grandeur and vastness of the Great Wall.
